At a new bistro bar, you’ll find Italian food, entertainment, and Bocce Ball at Il Pallino. Located at Tottenville near the Arthur Kill (Staten Island), the soft opening takes place this Friday, October 12. View the private party for Valentines’ Day for a sneak peek of the venue. A2z Restaurant Consulting got involved at the beginning, assisting the venue with location selection, licensing, kitchen setup, menu design, staffing and training, and more.
Owner Michael Lombardi created the bistro bar around his passions: cooking, entertaining, and bocci ball. It was born from a love of entertaining, and the ability to cook. Mr. Lombardi recalls many monumental occasions at his home, where he would often invite up to 100 guests
“I loved making everyone happy, paying attention to what each guest likes or dietary restrictions and accommodating them by creating dishes based on their specific likes and needs,” he says.
During his career in the logistics business, he’d always take on the task of planning all the company’s event. Many of the company clients would thereafter often want to hire him to coordinate their own events. In time, this pushed him to take the leap of fulfilling his early life dream: opening and running his own restaurant.
His new venue, indoor bocce courts are available in this beautiful bar and lounge area, with the restaurant boasting a 75-seat casual dining room with a FUN Italian food menu.
