A2z Restaurant Consulting helps a former trucking company executive open Il Pallino near the Arthur Kill on Staten Island. Staten Island Live covered the soft opening providing photos and insights.
The owner, Michael Lombardi, says he loves to cook and entertaining, so this seemed like a natural fit for him. He noted that “Our chef is from Sicily – a plus because I wanted that kind of food,” Michael says.”
The venue had its soft launch over the Columbus Day weekend, and thus far Michael says “I’m having fun.”
And speaking of fun, in addition to great food, the venue boasts Bocce Ball courts and leagues.
The family-style Italian menu is chock full of goodies — including Sicilian specials, homemade pasta, Italian tapas, “fun desserts,” and family recipes. “Eggplant Stack” is served in a skillet. There are also fire-roasted wings with caramelized onions, Shrimp Toast, and more.
